ecoPayz casino deposits
ecoPayz casino deposits
ecopayz is yet another e-Wallet available to use in order to make a quick deposit, or even withdrawal, at our recommend online casinos.
Formerly known as ecoCard, the payment method re-branded to differentiate its services – ecoCard is now known as their prepaid payment method. ecoPayz sees players opening an account, linking a funding method and depositing at online sites, such as our recommended web casinos, using a username and password.
About ecoPayz
ecoPayz is one of the longest operating web wallets, launched in 2000 (as ecoCard) by PSI-Pay Ltd.
In 2008, the owner was regulated by the FCA, meaning ecoPayz became authorised as a “specialised electronic money issuer”, as per their website. A year later, ecoPayz was authorised to issue MasterCard cards (which is their prepaid service we detail below), and in the same year they launched their own iPhone application – something Neteller doesn’t have and something Skrill took longer to get (2013).
It wasn’t until 2013 that ecoPayz became the new name for the e-Wallet service, but it was done so in order to detail the number of different services offered by the company. These include ecoAccount, ecoCard, ecoVirtualcard, and more. A full mobile site was tweaked and launched the same year for users to gain full access to their accounts – as they do on desktop sites – on their smartphone or tablet.
In 2014, ecoPayz saw their fourth upgrade to their phone application, where it was available for both Apple and Android devices. That same year saw the re-launch of their virtual card called ecoVirtualCard. ecoPayz is now accepted in around 159 countries, and offers around 45 currencies.
ecoPayz and ecoAccounts
ecoPayz is a web wallet where users need to sign up for an ecoAccount, which is just done so by registering your details and creating a username and password.
Once you’re all signed up, and you’ve verified your account via an email, you simply link a funding method such as Visa, MasterCard, bank transfer, or an array of other payment methods depending on your location.
What you’ve signed up for here is a Classic ecoAccount. Interestingly, there are account tiers including Classic, Silver, Gold, Platinum and VIP. The more you use your account the higher you climb up the tiers and ultimately are rewarded with lower fees and better features – similarly to an online casino loyalty program.
Upgrade to a Silver – where you can withdraw from your ecoAccount to your personal account – simply by completing the identification process (to do send in a copy of your passport or drivers license, as well as a bank statement or bill). This process can take some time, which can be a drawback, but the time it takes for your funds to be withdrawn from your casino account into your ecoAccount you will be verified anyway and ready to withdraw from here.
A silver account can also see you apply for other services – other than the ecoPayz web wallet.
ecoCard
An ecoCard is a physical MasterCard you can apply for once you have a Silver status ecoAccount. This will be sent to you and you can use it wherever MasterCard is accepted (great if ecoPayz is not accepted at an online casino but MasterCard is). You can also use it to withdraw physical cash from your ecoAccount via participating MasterCard ATMs.
ecoVirtualCard
An ecoVirtualCard is similar to an ecoCard in that it is a prepaid method that you can use at MasterCard Internet casinos. However, it is a one time MasterCard number that you load cash onto in order to make a one time deposit and then you cannot use it again. You also do not receive a physical card and cannot use it at ATMs to withdraw cash.
Depositing with either method is instantaneous and secure – provided you play at a reputable online casino such as the many we list below.
ecoPayz deposits
Making a deposit with ecoPayz is incredibly easy and much like any e-Wallet deposit. Ensure you are logged in (sign up to one of the reputable web casinos we list below if you haven’t already) and head to the banking page.
Next to the ecoPayz logo enter the amount you wish to deposit. You will then be asked to enter your self generated ecoAccount username and password, and prompted to confirm the transaction where your funds will then appear in your online casino account.
This is a quick and secure deposit option, which is what is so appealing about ecoPayz.
ecoPayz fees
There are no fees in setting up an ecoPayz web wallet (ecoAccount) and you won’t be charged when you make a deposit at an online casino. However, there could be fees incurred when you fund your ecoAccount depending on which method you choose.
Mobile ecoPayz
As mentioned above, there is a mobile application available for both Android and Apple devices. This allows you to top up your account on the go, check any balances, and more.
